Kwelo — Notice & Takedown (illegal content and copyright)

1. What this page is for

Kwelo shows information about places, and — when the feature is available — content that users post (reviews, photos). If you think something on Kwelo is illegal — for example it infringes your copyright, defames someone, contains hate speech, or shares someone’s private information — tell us here and we will act. This is our notice-and-action procedure under the EU Digital Services Act.

Kwelo is not the operator of the venues it lists. For a complaint about a venue itself (its service, prices, safety), contact the venue or the relevant Finnish authority.

2. How to send a notice

Email tietosuoja@kweloapp.com with the subject “Notice: illegal content” (or “Copyright complaint”) and include:

1. Why you consider the content illegal — the law or right involved, in your own words is fine.
2. Where it is: a link, a screenshot, the venue name and the review/photo, so we can find exactly that item.
3. Your name and email (a copyright holder may act through an authorised agent; say so).
4. A statement that you believe in good faith the information in your notice is accurate and complete.

A notice with these four things is a valid notice. We may ask for more if we cannot identify the content.

3. What we do

• We confirm we received your notice.
• A person at Kwelo reviews it without undue delay. We do not use automated decision-making for this.
• If the content is illegal or breaks our Terms, we remove it or restrict access to it.
• We tell the person who posted it what we did and why (the rule or law relied on, and that a notice was received), and how to contest it — a statement of reasons (DSA Art. 17).
• We tell you the outcome.

4. If your content was removed

If we removed or restricted something you posted and you think we got it wrong, reply to the statement of reasons within 6 months. A person will review it again. You may also use the EU Online Dispute Resolution platform or take the matter to court. Misusing this process (repeated false notices or repeated abusive contests) can lead to us ignoring further notices from you for a period, after a warning.

5. Repeat infringers

Accounts that repeatedly post illegal content are suspended or closed.

6. Copyright specifically

If you hold copyright in a work and a user’s photo or text on Kwelo copies it, use §2. Include which work is yours and where the copy appears. We act under Finnish and EU copyright law and the DSA; we do not operate a US DMCA designated-agent process.
