Kwelo Rewards — Programme Rules

1. What Kwelo Rewards is

These rules are part of the Terms of Service. If they conflict, these rules win for anything about Kwelo Rewards.

Kwelo Rewards is a free loyalty programme inside the Kwelo app. When you spend money at a partner venue, you collect reward points. A few one-time welcome bonuses count too. Your first treat unlocks at 50 points, then you get one every 25 points after that, usable at any partner venue. Kwelo also gives you status and stamps for the things you do — those are recognition only, never money.

Three separate things, never mixed:

2. Who can join

• You need a Kwelo account. The minimum age for an account is 16.
• One account per person. Points, stamps and status belong to the account and cannot be moved to another account or another person.
• Venue staff cannot collect points at the venue they work for.

3. Earning reward points

Reward points come from spending at an official partner venue, plus the one-time welcome bonuses in §7. Nothing else earns them. Partner venues are marked in the app. At any other venue you can still check in, and you will see “Not a Kwelo partner yet” and a button to ask us to invite them — but no points and no stamps.

How a visit is verified depends on the kind of place:

• Points are awarded by our server after the venue confirms the visit. The app cannot award itself points.
• A qualifying visit = one bill, one visit, one award. Splitting one bill into several, or having several people scan the same receipt, does not earn extra points and counts as abuse (§9).
• Reward points do not expire while your account is active.

3a. Bars, pubs and nightclubs

Venues whose main business is serving alcohol (bars, pubs, nightclubs) are part of Kwelo Rewards for earning only: a qualifying bill there earns points like any other Eat & Drink or Go Out visit. No treat is ever redeemed at a bar, pub or nightclub, and none of them issues a treat. Points you earn at a bar are used for food, non-alcoholic drinks, wellness, sport, activities and events elsewhere (§4–§5).

4. Treats

Launch period: treats can be redeemed from 1 December 2026. Until then every point and stamp you earn is kept on your account and nothing expires — the Rewards screen in the app shows the same date.

• Your first treat unlocks when your reward points reach 50. After that you get one treat every 25 points (75, 100, 125 and so on). The welcome bonuses add up to 30 at most, so the first treat always needs real partner visits too.
• A treat is used at any partner venue that offers treats — not only the venue where you earned the points (this is a shared programme, like S-Etukortti or K-Plussa).
• What the treat is (a coffee, a dessert, a sauna session, a class, an activity) is set by each partner and shown in the app before you use it. Treats are always something you can walk in and enjoy — food, drinks without alcohol, wellness, sports, activities, events.
• Show your member code; the venue confirms and the treat is marked used. One treat per visit unless the venue says otherwise.
• Treats expire 12 months after you earn them.
• Treats have no cash value, cannot be exchanged for money, cannot be transferred, and are not paid out if a venue cannot provide them — we will offer an alternative at another partner instead.
• A partner may leave the programme. Treats you already earned stay valid at the remaining partners.

5. No alcohol, ever

• No treat is ever an alcoholic drink, a discount on alcohol, or anything whose value is alcohol.
• Bars, pubs and nightclubs do not issue treats.
• Treats earned anywhere are used only for food, non-alcoholic drinks, wellness, sport, activities and events.
• Kwelo may remove any treat that breaks this rule, and a partner that offers one breaches its agreement with us.

6. The grand prize (1000 points)

When your lifetime reward points reach 1000, you unlock the Kwelo Experience for two. What it is and how to claim it is shown in the app when you get close. It is reached only by accumulating points — there is no draw, no lottery, no chance element (this keeps the programme outside the Finnish Lotteries Act, Arpajaislaki 1047/2001). Kwelo may substitute an experience of equal or greater value if a specific partner is unavailable. The grand prize is a one-time award per account.

7. Status, stamps and welcome bonuses

• Status goes up with everything you do: partner visits, trails, free events, parks. Status never goes down except for abuse (§9) and never turns into points or treats.
• Stamps: every verified partner visit earns one, with no cap. They show which places are your regulars.
• Welcome bonuses (count toward treats and status): +5 for finishing your profile · +5 the one time you follow @kwelo.app on Instagram (on your honour — we cannot check) · +5 for each friend you invite, up to 4 friends, credited when that friend makes their first verified partner visit (§8). Up to 30 points in total, once per account.

8. Inviting friends

• Your referral code is your username. A friend enters it when signing up.
• You both get +5 reward points (they count toward treats and status) when your friend completes their first verified partner visit — not when they download or sign up. Up to 4 friends are counted per account.
• Self-referral, fake accounts and mass-inviting count as abuse (§9).

9. Fraud, error and abuse

We may withhold, correct, or take back points, stamps, status, treats or the grand prize, and may suspend or close the account, if:

• a visit was not genuine (fake or shared receipts, GPS spoofing, a staff member scanning without a real purchase, colluding with venue staff);
• points or treats were awarded by mistake (we correct the balance and tell you);
• more than one account is used by the same person, or the referral rules are gamed;
• the Terms of Service are breached.

We will tell you what we did and why. You can reply at asiakaspalvelu@kweloapp.com and we will look again.

10. Changes and ending the programme

• We may change these rules. For material changes (how you earn, what a treat is worth, expiry) we give at least 30 days’ notice in the app or by email. Points and treats you already have keep their value under the old rules for that notice period.
• We may end the programme with at least 60 days’ notice. During that time you can still use the treats you earned; unused treats and points lapse when the programme ends.
• Small changes (a partner joining or leaving, a treat description) can happen at any time and are shown in the app.

11. Your account and your data

• If you delete your account, your points, stamps, status and unused treats are lost and cannot be restored. Deleting is permanent after the 30-day grace period described in the Privacy Policy.
• What we record when you earn: which partner, when, the receipt total (for receipt visits), and for phone check-ins the location of your tap. Venue staff see only that your member code is valid and what you can redeem — never your name, email or history. Full details are in the Privacy Policy.

12. The legal bits

• Kwelo Rewards is a promotional programme. Points, stamps, status and treats are not money, not vouchers and not securities; they have no cash value and cannot be sold.
• Partner venues provide the treats. Kwelo is not the operator of any venue. If a venue refuses a valid treat, tell us and we will sort it out with another partner.
• These rules are governed by the same law and the same consumer-rights carve-out as the Terms of Service §13.
